Yacht charter in Tivat
Tivat sits right in the middle of the bay, which makes it one of the handiest starting points for a day on the water: half an hour to Perast one way, the same to the open sea the other. Porto Montenegro marina has more than 500 berths, and the airport is ten minutes away.
from €355 for 3 hours
Find a yachtWhat fits into a day
Four hours around the bay out of Tivat cost from €390 for the boat: the Verige strait, the islets off Perast, a swimming stop. A full day, from €650, adds what there is no time to reach from Kotor — Mamula island with its Austrian fortress, the Blue Cave and Dobreč, a cove on the Luštica peninsula that no road reaches. Mamula is now a hotel and closed to visitors, so you see it from the water. At the Blue Cave the boat stops at the mouth of the grotto and you go in by kayak or swim from the boat — motor boats have not been allowed inside since 2026.
What it costs
The price is always per boat, never per person. Along the coast as a whole, a motor boat starts from €355 for three hours (up to seven guests; for up to nine, from €390), a sailing yacht for up to eight from €390 for three to four hours, and a catamaran from €520 for four hours. Skipper and fuel for the route are normally included; lunch ashore and port fees in other marinas are extra.
On arrival and before the flight
The airport is ten minutes from the marina, so a three-hour trip fits between the flight and check-in. Ask about suitcases in advance: boats normally have no luggage space, though the marina can usually store it. On departure day pick a trip that ends at least three hours before your flight.
Prices by boat type
Starting prices in low season. July and August cost more. The final amount is calculated at booking for your dates.

Common questions
Is the price per person or per boat?
For the whole boat. A boat takes six to twelve guests and the cost is split between them. With six of you, a boat from €390 works out at €65 each — a little more than the group trip from €53, but the timing and the stops are yours.
Do I need a licence to skipper?
No, the company’s skipper runs the boat and is included in the price. A licence is only needed for a bareboat charter, a different format.
From Tivat or from Kotor?
Tivat is in the middle of the bay, so in the same time you get both Perast and the open sea. From Kotor the inner bay is longer, but the Blue Cave is out of reach in half a day.
How much is a full day on a boat from Tivat?
From €650 for the boat, with four hours from €390. A full day takes you out of the bay to Mamula, seen from the water, the Blue Cave (Plava špilja), where the boat waits at the entrance, and Dobreč cove.
Where do boats leave from in Tivat?
Mostly from Porto Montenegro, a marina with more than 500 berths within walking distance of the centre; confirm the exact pier the evening before. If you come by car, parking in Tivat is €0.60–1.00 an hour.
Can I charter a boat for several days?
Yes, boats are hired by the day or by the week, and the larger ones have cabins for sleeping aboard. The price for a longer charter is worked out by the company.
What should I bring on board?
Water, sun cream, a towel and light-soled shoes — dark soles mark the deck. Food, drinks and a tip for the skipper are usually not included.
