Yacht charter in Bar
Bar is the southern base, and boats from here run along one of the quietest stretches of the coast. There is none of Boka’s sheltered calm, but there are coves no road reaches: Kraljičina plaža under the pines and the Katič and Sveta Nedelja islets off Petrovac.
from €355 for 3 hours
Find a yachtWhere boats go from the south
Out of Bar, a motor boat is from €130 an hour and a sailing yacht from €390 for three hours, priced per boat; that is enough for two swimming stops. On the way: Sutomore, Kraljičina plaža beyond Čanj, which people reach from the water, and the islets off Petrovac with the chapel on the rock. South of Bar the shore empties out completely — there is almost nothing built as far as Ulcinj.
What it costs
The price is always per boat, never per person. Along the coast as a whole, a motor boat starts from €355 for three hours (up to seven guests; for up to nine, from €390), a sailing yacht for up to eight from €390 for three to four hours, and a catamaran from €520 for four hours. Skipper and fuel for the route are normally included; lunch ashore and port fees in other marinas are extra.
Open sea and weather
There is no bay here to flatten the swell, so departures depend on the wind more than in Boka. Mornings are calmest — the wind usually gets up after midday. In a heavy swell the trip is moved or refunded; agree that at booking. If you are prone to seasickness, take a catamaran: two hulls barely roll.
Prices by boat type
Starting prices in low season. July and August cost more. The final amount is calculated at booking for your dates.

Common questions
Is the price per person or per boat?
For the whole boat. A boat takes five to eight guests and the cost is split between them. With six of you, a boat from €390 works out at €65 each — a little more than the group trip from €53, but the timing and the stops are yours.
Do I need a licence to skipper?
No, the company’s skipper runs the boat and is included in the price. A licence is only needed for a bareboat charter, a different format.
How does the south differ from the bay?
The bay is calm and dense with sights — Perast, the islands, the fortresses. The south is empty and wild: coves with no roads, pines, nobody around. There is more motion, but far fewer boats on the water.
Can I hire a boat in Bar for an hour?
Yes, from €130 an hour for the boat — cheaper than Budva, where it starts at €170.
Can I reach Queen Milena’s beach by boat?
Yes, and the boat is the way in: Kraljičina plaža lies beyond Čanj, between Sutomore and Petrovac, with no road to it. From Čanj it is ten minutes by boat.
Can I charter a sailing yacht in Bar?
Yes: three hours on a sailing yacht start from €390 for the boat. In a flat calm it motors instead.
Can we reach the islets off Petrovac from Bar?
Yes: Katič and Sveta Nedelja lie 700–900 metres off Petrovac, with a church on the rock of Sveta Nedelja and a swimming stop nearby.
