Coach tours
The classic: a coach collects the group along the coast and shows what a beach holiday never reaches on its own.

The Tara and Morača canyons
The Đurđevića bridge (closed for reconstruction until 26 October 2026), the Black Lake, the northern hairpins — a long mountain day.

The Heart of Montenegro
Cetinje, Lovćen, the Njegoš mausoleum (open 15 April to 15 November) and the Bay from above.

Ostrog monastery
A shrine cut into a sheer cliff at 900 metres, with Podgorica on the way.

Maxi Montenegro
A big loop of the country in one day. Not running in 2026 — the nearest alternative is the Heart of Montenegro.

Coach day trips: what can you see in a day?
Ostrog Monastery is the shortest and cheapest of the routes: from €39, combined with Podgorica; it runs in season and does not operate from October to May. The Heart of Montenegro tour covers Cetinje, Lovćen and Njeguši and adds the cable car above Kotor, from €73. The Tara and Morača canyons with Black Lake, from €58, make the longest day, right up into the north. Maxi Montenegro is not running in 2026.
Those are prices from Budva. From Kotor, Tivat and Bar the same routes usually cost €10–15 more, because the coach takes longer to pick everyone up.
Entrance fees, closures and language
Entrance tickets are usually paid on the spot: Lovćen National Park €3, Njegoš's mausoleum €8, Durmitor €5. The mausoleum is open from 15 April to 15 November. The Đurđevića bridge over the Tara is closed for reconstruction until 26 October 2026 — if it is on the itinerary, ask the operator what replaces it. And the operator runs all its tours, group and private, only with a Russian-speaking guide: if Russian does not suit you, the honest alternative is to hire a car and drive yourself.
Common questions
What is the cheapest coach tour in Montenegro?
In season, from €39 per person: Ostrog with Podgorica from Budva or Podgorica, and the old towns of the Bay of Kotor from Kotor. Neither runs from October to May.
Why do tours cost more from Kotor than from Budva?
The coach picks people up along the coast, and from the far ends the route is longer. The difference is usually €10–15.
Are entrance fees included?
Usually not: tickets for national parks, monastery museums and the mausoleum are paid on the spot, typically €3–8 each.
