Tours and activities

Tours and outdoor activities in Montenegro: the canyons, Lake Skadar, Cetinje and Lovćen, rafting, diving, paragliding, kayaking and fishing. What each costs, when it runs and, before anything else, which of them you can do in English.

Are tours in Montenegro run in English?

The sightseeing tours we cover are not. The operator runs all of them, group and private, only with a Russian-speaking guide, and booking a private tour does not change the language. Diving, paragliding, sea fishing and fishing on Lake Skadar are the exception: they are run in Russian, English or Serbian. Kayaking and SUP are Russian only. If a Russian commentary is no use to you, the honest alternative for the sightseeing routes is to hire a car and go on your own.

What group and private tours cost

Group tours in season start at €39 per person; in autumn 2026 the routes on sale start at €49. The price depends on where you set off: the same route is usually cheaper from Budva than from Kotor, Tivat or Bar. The Tara and Morača canyons with the Black Lake are from €58; Heart of Montenegro, with Cetinje, Njeguši and a cable-car ride, from €73; Lake Skadar from €53, running in season and not from October to May. Children are usually charged around half the adult price; the age limits and exact amount are in each route’s description.

A private tour — a car and guide for your party alone — is from €90 for the group: around the Bay of Kotor, to the canyons and Žabljak, or down the coast to Ulcinj. Maxi Montenegro is not running in 2026; the nearest replacement is Heart of Montenegro, which also takes in Cetinje and Njeguši, with the cable car on top.

Group routes run in summer; from October to May most do not operate, and those that closed in autumn 2026 go back on sale in summer 2027. In autumn 2026, check northern routes separately: the Đurđevića Bridge is closed for reconstruction until 26 October 2026, though it may reopen sooner. All routes, with prices by departure town, are in tours, and grouped by type in things to do.

Rafting, diving, paragliding and fishing

Rafting on the Tara is from €82; it runs in season and not from October to May. A first scuba dive with no certificate is from €69, paragliding over the Budva Riviera from €87, and kayaks and SUP from Budva from €45. Fishing is priced per boat: at sea out of Budva from €295, and on Lake Skadar from €185.

Services are provided by independent companies, and you book and pay them directly. Prices checked in September 2026.
