How do you pick up a hire car in Kutaisi?

Kutaisi airport (KUT) at Kopitnari is about 30 minutes from the centre. You can collect a car there, at a rental office or have it delivered to your hotel within the city. The deposit here is usually up to $200, and some cars have none — you can see this on each car before booking.

If you land late in the evening or early in the morning, out-of-hours pick-up costs extra; the amount is shown when booking, so factor it in from the start.

Kutaisi has around 180,000 people, but it still has a rush hour: 7:30–9:00 in the morning and 17:00–18:30 in the evening, plus Saturday mornings around the central market. Paid spaces are marked with blue ‘P’ signs; the operator is Parking Service, and you pay at terminals, through banks or online. Do not pay street ‘attendants’ — that is not a parking payment.
